Athens Regional Medical Center is a 118 bed facility that has offered a full complement of acute care and ancillary services since 1973. The medical staff consists of over 160 highly trained physicians covering a wide variety of specialties. The Emergency Department which is a designated Level III Trauma Center and Primary Pediatric Care Provider, is staffed by physicians trained in emergency medicine 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
McMinn Memorial Nursing Home
Long-term care is provided in an 88-bed dually licensed nursing home for both skilled and intermediate patient adjoining Woods Memorial Hospital. McMinn Memorial has easy access to the 24-hour physician staffed emergency room as well as the other hospital services. With a full-time social worker, activities director and other specialties, McMinn Memorial also offers speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy as well as counseling.
Etowah Health Care Center
The 120 bed intermediate and skilled (level I and level II) care nursing facility is located in Etowah and is owned by Southeastern Health Care Facilities, Inc. Etowah Health Care offers physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy.
McMinn County Health Department
The McMinn County Health Department is jointly funded by the Tennessee Department of Health and the McMinn County Government offers immunization, testing, and check-ups for children.
