Industrial Recruitment
  1. Acquiring of Waupaca, Consolidated Metco, and Inspetech to the Industrial Park.
  2. ART Manufacturing has located in plant north of Etowah city limits.
  3. Infrastructure in place for future growth in Industrial Park.

Citywide Re-vitalization
  1. Several houses have been torn down and are ready for new use.
  2. Downtown burnt out buildings have bee sold and are expected to be renovated.
  3. Dilapidated buildings and housing are currently being addressed.

Retail Business
  1. Almost all downtown buildings are occupied and business climate is good.
  2. Some merchants have taken advantage of TVA Downtown Renovation Plan.
  3. The Sleep Inn Hotel was recruited and a 65 room facility is now in operation.

Rail Excursions
  1. City sponsored rail excursions brought over 10,000 passengers to the Etowah in 2004.
  2. Rail Excursions that will go to "The Loop" and to Copperhill are scheduled for 2005.
  3. The rail track from Wetmore to Copperhill has been renovated.
