Industrial Recruitment
- Acquiring of Waupaca, Consolidated Metco, and Inspetech to the Industrial Park.
- ART Manufacturing has located in plant north of Etowah city limits.
- Infrastructure in place for future growth in Industrial Park.

Citywide Re-vitalization
- Several houses have been torn down and are ready for new use.
- Downtown burnt out buildings have bee sold and are expected to be renovated.
- Dilapidated buildings and housing are currently being addressed.

Retail Business
- Almost all downtown buildings are occupied and business climate is good.
- Some merchants have taken advantage of TVA Downtown Renovation Plan.
- The Sleep Inn Hotel was recruited and a 65 room facility is now in operation.

Rail Excursions
- City sponsored rail excursions brought over 10,000 passengers to the Etowah in 2004.
- Rail Excursions that will go to "The Loop" and to Copperhill are scheduled for 2005.
- The rail track from Wetmore to Copperhill has been renovated.
